- Governor Beshear has issued policy changes that make unemployment insurance more available to people who lose their jobs due to the coronavirus, including waiving the one-week waiting period for receiving benefits and the requirement that recipients prove they are actively looking for work. Medicaid & Other Assistance
- Team Kentucky Fund, administered by Community Action KY: Eligibile applicants will receive financial vouchers of up to $1,000 per household. Click here for more information.
- On August 24, Governor Beshear announced some protections for Kentuckians facing eviction. Those is need are encouraged to visit the Kentucky COVID-19 Legal Help Line. Louisville has also established a Eviction Prevention Assistance Program - click here. Lexington has established a Rental Hardship to Impacted Service Employees (including nonprofit employees) program - click here. Those outside of Lexington or Louisville are urged to check with their city to see if they are using CARES Act funds to establish similar relief programs.
- KNN member, NAMI Kentucky maintains a contact list of regional virtual support groups offering mental health support. Members of KNN's employee benefits program with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield are also encouraged to utilize the free Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and check out resources for accessing the EAP benefit.

- IRS extends 990 Filing Deadline: IRS announced that it is extending to July 15 relief to all taxpayers that have a filing or payment deadline falling between April 1, 2020 and July 15, 2020. The IRS notice identifies the Form 990-T return for unrelated business income taxes as one of the forms with an extended filing deadline. The annual Form 990 filing deadline is also delayed by operation of this notice and previous IRS guidance for extension of filing deadlines during federally-declared disasters.
