Medicaid & Other Assistance
- During the COVID-19 state of emergency, individuals younger than 65 without medical insurance should complete the Healthcare Coverage Application to request temporary coverage under Kentucky Medicaid presumptive eligibility. By completing this application you attest that you do not have medical insurance that covers doctors, pharmacy or hospital visits. To maintain Medicaid benefits beyond the presumptive eligibility coverage period, complete a full Medicaid application online at Kynect, call (855) 306-8959 or contact a local kynector for application assistance. - Kentucky Children's Health Insurance Program (KCHIP) - Enroll your kids up to age 19 in no-cost health care coverage through the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Signing up is simple, coverage is complete, and it’s the right thing to do.

- On August 24, Governor Beshear announced some protections for Kentuckians facing eviction. Those is need are encouraged to visit the Kentucky COVID-19 Legal Help Line. Lexington has established a Rental Hardship to Impacted Service Employees (including nonprofit employees) program - click here. Check with your city to see if it is using CARES Act funds to establish similar relief programs.
